Discover how to improve energy efficiency, reduce your energy bills, and enhance your home’s comfort through available grants.
The government aims to help homeowners make their homes more energy-efficient while supporting its environmental objectives. This means homes will be more comfortable and consume less energy, making them more affordable to maintain. Quebec homeowners must go through the Rénoclimat program. Please note that the Canada Greener Homes Initiative has been closed to new applicants since October 2025.
Prior to commencing your renovation project, you must sign up for the Rénoclimat Program to schedule a consultant to visit your residence to perform an energy assessment.
If you're planning to renovate your home and you want to replace your doors and/or windows, the Rénoclimat Program can provide you with financial aid for the work. Thanks to this assistance, you'll be able to carry out your renovation projects more easily and efficiently.
The Canada Greener Homes Loan is no longer available for new applications. The portal closed onOctober 2, 2025, due to its great success. Only applications submitted before this date will continue to be processed.
